Through Eastern Europe the klezmorim travelled. They were travelling musicians who mingled with the local folk in every region they visited, taking in a variety of musical styles and local musical culture to form a sensual and emotive new sound. Klezmer music reached its peak in 30s America and was rediscovered in the 1970s.
-Characteristic augmented seconds combined with violin parts which are not too difficult
-there are certain guidelines but generally dynamics and tempo are not strictly fixed
-interpreting the music in your own way is part of the magic of Klezmer music
-Use your knowledge of the violin positions to give a personal touch to the music.
-can be performed using easy position play(up to third position)and simple double stopping
-more advanced violinists can add their own personal touches to the music
