These well-known and valuable studies have long proved their usefulness, providing a fundamental technical resource for many violinists that leads to more confident playing and are practical to use. Naturally they focus on specific hurdles that violinists encounter as they progress. Each etude covers a particular challenge. Both left and right hands are featured in a logical order - and sometimes both hands are combined.
The etudes are very instructive, but are presented in such a way that playing fun is still guaranteed. The playing material is violinistically and musically interesting. An easy-to-read l layout and well thought-out fingerings have been chose, takling into account current practice and styles, whilst showing due regard for the original.
The demo tracks on the CDs are intended to be versions to listen to; they form an excellent frame of reference. Those who wish to play along can do so.; it is always useful.
