This book is a collection of rich tunes and ballads specifically characteristic of the cultures of Scotland, Newfoundland and Ireland. Initially associate with everyday rural activities, these memorable melodies have been married with colourful accompaniments to offer a variety of musical settings. The accompaniment CD(included with the solo book) provides all musicians the opportunity to perform in concerts or with friends and relatives.
There are two tracks for each tune. The first track includes a sample performance of the solo with the accompaniment. The second track is just the accompaniment, allowing the soloist to play along.
